Lady of the Night……Client v Hooker

This case has kept our attention for in excess of over three years. Our Client got involved with an Escort and lent money to assist through difficult Covid times. Unfortunately as often happens in such cases the money was not returned. False information was given in order to gain the trust of the Client/lender. Money promised to be returned plus interest but it wasn’t.
Many promises of repayment, many attempts were made to recover the money without litigation. Finally a County Court Judgment was gained against the Hooker and her partner. Neither chose to pay the £10,000 owed. A Third Party Debt Order was gained but the debtors wriggled out of repayment. Hood winking the Judge at Bristol County Court.
A Bankruptcy Order was made against one party. That individual to date 14 months later has failed to comply with the Official Receiver. The Bankrupt has not been discharged…………The case is continuing with the possibility of a payment plan being put in place. Watch this space to see if the debtor repays what is owed……..
