Relentless – Persistent This is Global Collections

In 2013 we were approached by a creditor to recover a debt which came about due to a relationship breakdown. The debtor failed to respond to our first approaches. To cut a long story short a County Court Summons was served on the debtor for £8500.00. The debtor filed a defence and in 2014 the case was listed at Swindon County Court.
The case was heard and Judgment gained for our client for £3500.00 plus interest plus costs in total £4700.00. Not the figure that was wanted but it was a victory.
Following Judgment, no payment was forthcoming. The debtor proceeded to avoid all requests for payment. We employed the services of the High Court Enforcement Offices. They failed to recover the debt. We served a Statutory Demand. The debtor refused to acknowledge the debt and bankruptcy was pointless as the debtor had no assets in his name. He avoided payment by simply owning nothing, everything in his fathers name or girlfriends. At the same time flaunting his cars, motorbikes, boats etc all over social media. Bragging to his friends what he owned and how much he bought and sold said items.
Move forward in time to 2019, still pursuing this debtor he bragged that the Statute of Limitations rule would save him from ever having to pay this Judgment.
Move forward again now to autumn of 2022 and the debtor buys a house in his sole name. Our client along with Global Collections simply refused to throw in the towel. Global Collections applied to Swindon County Court confirming that the Judgment was still live and enforceable. They forwarded all social media documents confirming how the debtor had basically put two fingers up to his creditor and lived a lavish lifestyle yet refused to pay this Judgment. The Court confirmed that the Judgment remained live and enforceable.
On the 10th March 2023 a letter was written to the debtor explaining that as no settlement had been received an Application was being made to Swindon County Court for a Charging Order to be placed on the debtors property in Grove, Berkshire.
Five days later a telephone call was received by Global Collections from the debtor who said his property had been sold two days earlier and it was pointless to apply for a Charge. It was explained to the debtor that a Charge would be applied for as it was believed the so called sale of his property was simply a fabrication of the truth.

THE DEBTOR PAID THE FULL AMOUNT OUTSTANDING OF £4,702.50 THE NEXT DAY.

This collection from start to finish took 10 years of persistence to not let the debtor get away with it.
Global Collections received the following email from there client:-

Thank you Kindly, I cannot express how grateful I am that you helped me with this to the end.
They say Karma and I hope to god that falls on him one day.
Once again THANK YOU so much you have been amazing.
Kindest regards

D
